Transferring a non .uk domain (e.g. .com, .net, .org etc) to SO53

To transfer a non .uk domain e.g. .com, .net, org etc. to SO53 costs £10 and this will include an additional 1 year of registration onto the domain's current registration period. You will need to place an order here first:
https://so53.co.uk/myaccount/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer

Before placing an order you will need to get an authorisation code (also known as the EPP code) from the current domain name provider. When you have been given the EPP code, place an order for a domain transfer at the above link and during the order process you will be asked to enter the EPP code accordingly.

Once the order is approved, the Admin Contact* for the domain will be sent an email requesting approval for the domain transfer.

Once approved it can take up to 7 days for the domain transfer to complete.

Please note: once the domain transfer is complete, we do NOT update the Nameservers, you must do that yourself.

For more, information about updating Nameservers read our article "Updating Nameservers"

*Please note: the Admin contact may not necessarily be yourself, sometimes your existing domain name provider is the Admin contact for the domain. If the Admin contact email address is that of your existing domain provider, you will need to contact them and instruct them to approve the transfer.
